is just imaginary;
but good is awesome.

A wonderful night... out on the plains in the dark with my son and a meteor shower.

There were probably more than the advertised 60/hour, and some of them were very impressive.

I really enjoy being with JD, he's an excellent companion on a semi-scientific expedition.

We took naps before we left about midnight... at least, I did, JD couldn't sleep.

Another one of those nights, dammit... but once again, I was able to get back to sleep after being awake an hour.

I didn't get to bed until 02:00, though, hoping to sleep late, heh.

Not much going on today... JDs' truck got fixed well enough to drive back to Texas, the belt on the power steering was broken... really weird.

so will meteors.

The clouds rolled in this afternoon, dammit, so the expedition is off for tonight.

Tomorrow is forecast to be clear, though, so we will do it then.

in place damn near forever;
our brief lives will end.

Fair nights' sleep, about seven hours; better than yesterday.

We are going to stay up late tonight and sleep in tomorrow... the Persied meteor shower will peak Monday and Tuesday nights, and we want to be in an artificial-light free zone by midnight tomorrow.

The sleep deficit builds... asleep shortly after midnight, up at 04:00 yet again.

But it was a fun day anyway... or at least not as bad as I thought it might be.
