I cannot figure out the Ning system. After fighting ZoneAlarm to a draw, I was able to over come the bogus errors I kept getting about my email address being invalid every time I supplied it to a web form. I thought I was in the clear. But today I tried to access this site and it was a no go, although Atheist Nexus let me right in. This time trying to log into Bloggers, I was told my password and email did not match, instead of the bogus error message about my email address being invalid. In the process of trying to resolve this issue I somehow managed to become a new member, but Atheist Bloggers treats me like an old friend. I'm very confused, but at least I can get the doors open to Nexus and Bloggers.

The problem is ZoneAlarm guards information it sends out and one of the things it guards is your email address. If you have just the right combination of settings, the program will not send your address, so you get the invalid message. What the error message should say is that it did not receive an email address to validate. Here is what I normally received:

You must supply a valid email address.

Not

We did not receive an email address to validate.

Big difference.

Richard, I see right now the "+ Start a new discussion" -button quite well in the right had upper corner of the 'Forum' -page. Do you still have a problem with it?

That's odd. I use ZoneAlarm and have used it for years now, and I've never had a problem with accessing any web pages. Oh well - glad you got the problem solved!
