You are pointing out the fact that there is some overlap between the definitions of atheist and agnostic.
Athiest by definition is, a person who holds no belief in a god or gods. So, you are athiest. All people whether theist of atheist are agnostic....proving it is impossible...so no one knows....

To say that I am an atheist is an understatement. Because, I really have no religious or spiritual beliefs whatsoever. So, I prefer the term, non-religious. But, that's just semantics, I suppose. I enjoy life as much as I can. I am a big believer in freedom and democracy. Which, in my opinion, makes me a socialist and anarchist as well. I hope you find my posts thought-provoking.

Sometimes after I tell someone I am an atheist, they say, "no you're not. You're just an agnostic." To which I reply that if you ask me do I believe in God? I will tell you that I am an atheist. But, if you ask me do I know that there is no God? I will tell you that I am, indeed, an agnostic. penn jillette and twinkies
I was listening to Penn Jillette's (he's the larger, louder half of Penn and Teller) radio show about a year ago (it's off the air now), and I heard an interesting story.
