an agnostic atheist

Sometimes after I tell someone I am an atheist, they say, "no you're not. You're just an agnostic." To which I reply that if you ask me do I believe in God? I will tell you that I am an atheist. But, if you ask me do I know that there is no God? I will tell you that I am, indeed, an agnostic. Because, I don't know that there is no God anymore than I know that there are no invisible unicorns on pluto. I can't say for sure that there are no invisible plutonian unicorns, in the same way I can't say for sure that there is no God. But, that doesn't mean that I believe that there is a God, or invisible plutonian unicorns, just because I happen to not be able to prove their non-existence.

Yes, exactly, libhomo. In fact, I think that this describes most people who call themselves atheists, and agnostics.

You are pointing out the fact that there is some overlap between the definitions of atheist and agnostic.

Athiest by definition is, a person who holds no belief in a god or gods. So, you are athiest. All people whether theist of atheist are agnostic....proving it is impossible...so no one knows....
